Klatt-Words based on the UK statutory requirements. The users can practise the spelling of the first 300 high frequency words by default, but every user can have his/her own wordlist too.

Featured

Every new user needs to register. The Username should be 1-10 characters long.
From the second time onwards just select your Username in the first field if you need to, and the practising starts with the Start button.

The user can switch on/off the background music with the button at the bottom left corner.

Selection

The Words is the default list with the first 300 high frequency words ( from Letters and Sounds: Principles and Practice of High Quality Phonics - Appendix1).
The Your List is a custom list, based on the misspelled words, but the user (with an adult) can edit this list too.
The stars' colour shows the user’s last result:
Red - less than 50%
Yellow - 50-80%
Green - more than 80%
Green with yellow frame - 100%
White - haven't practised yet.
If a star is translucent, your last practice was more than a week ago.
Select the list, the number of practicable words, and the practising can Start.

Practising

At the beginning of the practising, the keyboard buttons which needed to write the current word have purple background to help to identify them and learn their location.
The practising begins with a tap on the Write button.
After this tap you can write the word into the textfield with the keyboard.

There are two types of Help:
- Play button: listen to the word again
- Show button: the buttons which needed to write the word become purple again for a short period of time.

After finishing, submit the word with the Submit button. With a tap on it, the result appears and you can move to the Next word.

For Adults - Options

An adult has the next options:

Go to our website: this button opens the application’s website.

Edit User: after some practising an adult can edit here the current user’s username or application language (it can be British, American or Australian english - just choose a flag).
All of the users can be deleted here too with the Reset button. But be really careful with this option, this action can not be undone.

Edit Custom List: every user can have his/her own list from the misspelled words. This list of the current user is editable from here, words can be added to or deleted from it.
